Mavrix appoints Dr. Xuming Zhang to head US R&D center
Shanghai , China and Newport Beach , California , February 4, 2008: Mavrix Technology Inc, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for Mobile Digital TV (MDTV), announced the appointment of Dr. Xuming Zhang as its vice president of engineering and head of the US operation.
The Mavrix US office, located in Newport Beach California , was established in 2005. It is the company's primary R&D center, focusing on Mavrix's core MDTV technology development. Dr. Xuming Zhang has been hired to strengthen Mavrix's management and advance the company's leading edge in its next generation MDTV products.
As the former Director of DSP development at Mindspeed Technology (MSPD), Dr.Xuming Zhang (Ph.D, Northeastern) brings over 15 years of engineering management and extensive project leadership skills in the wireless chip design industry. Dr. Zhang also has 15 granted US patents in communications technology.
